Enlit Asia is the new unifying brand for POWERGEN Asia and Asian Utility Week. The event brings together the energy industry on the world’s vastest continent to foster the sharing of knowledge and experience as well as innovation in the context of Asia’s journey towards a future with low greenhouse gas emissions. The entire electricity sector is in fact experiencing a historic transformation, from energy sources to consumption, generation, transmission, and power distribution.
Two cornerstones of the energy transition, the spread of renewable sources and electrification, are posing new challenges for Asia, and at the same time they represent substantial economic and technological opportunities. Enlit Asia is helping to seize these opportunities and take full advantage of their potential.
Our participation
Where and when did it take place?
The event took place in Bangkok (Thailand) from September 20 to 22 at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC). This year, Enlit Asia shared the exhibition spaces with other highly relevant events: Sustainable Energy Technology Asia (SETA) and Solar + Storage Asia (SSA).
Revenue Protection
In this field we presented innovative products and services such as the Head-End System (HES) and Meter Data Management System (MDMS), in addition to latest generation smart meters. These are tools for managing electricity demand in the most efficient way and reducing technical losses thanks to real-time monitoring of various grid parameters which enables immediate identification of potential anomalies.
Grid Resilience
To increasingly improve grid resilience, which is fundamental for ensuring stability and reliability, we proposed the Grid Automation Management Solution, which makes it possible to deal with any interruptions to the service in a rapid and effective way. We also presented the Quantum Edge® device (QEd) that digitalizes essential grid activities, boosting the agility of secondary cabins, which are becoming more crucial to smart grids.
Maintenance efficiency
The greatest help for efficient maintenance comes from digitalization: our Network Digital Twin® replicates the entire electricity infrastructure and makes it possible to simulate the grid’s behavior, predicting faults and enabling interventions of predictive maintenance.
Fast response and restoration
Digital tools such as Digital Workforce Management improve efficiency and reduce times in the field in the case of service interruptions, thanks to an app that maps the entire grid. This is an extremely useful solution also for training personnel using virtual or augmented reality.

We took part in the debate regarding the constant need for innovating and digitalizing our grids through smart grid technologies with speeches from our managers.
On Tuesday, September 20, Daniela Guzzetti, BD & Sales Senior Manager for Africa, APAC, was at the Digitalization Knowledge Hub talking about “Working on an Enhanced Workforce through 3D Modelling and Flexibility”.
On Wednesday, September 21, our VP Business Development & Sales for Africa, APAC and ME, Narcis Vidal, took part in the Conference Session “Next Gen Power Grid stream” with a presentation regarding “Digitalization Supporting a More Reliable, Resilient Grid”.
On the same day (at 2:40 pm), Francesco Marini, VP Pre-Sales, attended the Grids Knowledge Hub to explain “How to digitize your grid to face the energy transition. Meet your trusted partner, Gridspertise”. This was followed by a presentation by Carlos Oros, our BD & Sales Senior Manager for Africa, APAC and ME, at the Digitalization Knowledge Hub presenting “A Portfolio of Solutions to Digitalize the Grid throughout the entire value chain”.
