Gridspertise is strengthening its global commercial organization with three key appointments, reinforcing its ability to support customers across its two core business areas: smart metering and services, and advanced grid solutions.
Vanessa Alvarez Castillo joins Gridspertise as Chief Commercial Officer, while Coco Geluk has been appointed Head of Metering & Services and Gianpaolo Giuliani Head of Grid Solutions.
Under Vanessa’s leadership, Coco and Gianpaolo will respectively lead global sales activities for Metering & Services and Advanced Grid Solutions, combining a global commercial vision with specialized expertise across the company’s core businesses.
The new organization will support Gridspertise’s expansion in key international markets and strengthen its ability to respond to utilities’ evolving needs - from generating long-term value from digital metering infrastructure to increasing the resilience and operational efficiency of grid assets.

Vanessa brings more than 20 years of international leadership experience in energy and infrastructure-related businesses. Most recently, she led Prysmian Group’s Global Industrial Specialty Segments Division, with responsibility across more than 50 countries, following senior business leadership roles in Europe and Latin America. At Gridspertise, she will lead the global commercial organization and customer agenda, driving commercial strategy and profitable growth across markets and business lines.
Coco brings more than 20 years of experience in utility technology. As CEO of Landis+Gyr Netherlands, he supported utilities through one of Europe’s largest smart meter deployment programs, before serving as Managing Director of Osmose Europe and Managing Director Energy at Optics11. He will drive the global growth of Gridspertise’s Metering & Services business, helping utilities deploy scalable solutions and generate long-term value from their digital metering infrastructure.
Gianpaolo brings more than 25 years of international experience in the energy sector, spanning renewables, energy storage and emerging technologies. Having held senior commercial and business leadership roles at companies including GE Vernova and Sunlight Storage Solutions, he has extensive experience in scaling new businesses and bringing innovative energy solutions to market. He will lead the global growth of Gridspertise’s Advanced Grid Solutions, accelerating their adoption across international markets and supporting utilities and other energy actors in building more digital, flexible and resilient power systems.
